Objekt (TJ Hertz) is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, known since 2011 for head-turning club records on labels like Hessle Audio and his eponymous whitelabel series. His eclectic style spans disassembled dubstep, IDM, and breakbeat house (like "Theme From Q"). His albums, Flatland (2014) and Cocoon Crush (2018) on PAN, are critically acclaimed for their meticulous arrangement and hyper-detailed sound worlds.
Voted Mixmag’s DJ of the Year 2018, his sets are wild, laser-focused, and genre-agnostic, showcased in his Essential Mix and Tresor Kern Vol. 3. In 2024, he launched Kapsela, a new label for his output and like-minded artists. Hertz also has a highly technical background, having developed instruments and FX for Native Instruments.
