A world-renowned and highly established artist, label leader at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series, and member of the cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the world of electronic music. A trendsetter and appreciated connoisseur, the Welsh dance music superstar has inaugurated his distinctive sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that unfold through a range of different and complementary styles, selected to energize and enchant the dance floor. Jamie began to make a name for himself when he immersed himself in the infamous East London warehouse party scene in the mid-2000s; T-Bar, Kubicle, The End, fabric and many other influential spaces allowed him to leave the sign on the city scene. Outside the capital, another crucial outpost was Ibiza, where he spent consecutive summers working and playing as DJs. Jamie's hard work has led him to become an integral part of the island and of the European music scene. In 2010 he obtained a residence at DC-10 for the famous Circoloco Monday parties. The following year, he was voted best DJ in the world in the annual Resident Advisor ranking, remaining in the top 20 until voting closed in 2017. Jamie has also obtained notable positions in the coveted DJ Mag charts: No. 68 in their 2020 Top 100 and No. 8 in the Alternative Top 100, becoming the highest-rated house DJ in the world. He also appeared in the Top 50 of Billboard's respected Top 100 list in 2018 and 2019, consolidating his position as one of the most respected selectors in the world. In 2013, he launched one of Ibiza's most popular parties, Paradise, at DC-10. After eight seasons at the club, Jamie announced that Paradise would move to Amnesia in 2021. Over the years, the Paradise brand has hosted sold-out shows around the world, collaborating with like-minded brands and festivals, including The Warehouse Project, Printworks, Tomorrowland, Club Space Miami, The Brooklyn Mirage, We Are Fstvl, BPM and Loveland. In 2017, Jamie launched his series Paradise in the Park, an outdoor party held in Los Angeles. After two successful years, Paradise in the Park will evolve into a two-day mini festival in 2021. Jamie has toured extensively since the late 2000s, crossing the globe to play shows from Colombia to Japan, from Moscow to Miami and Australia. His natural talent, versatility and high work ethic form the basis of his constant success, leading him to headline the most prestigious electronic music venues and festivals in the world, including ADE, Timewarp, Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man, Warung Brazil, Womb Tokyo and many others. Jamie's deep passion for music and selection is manifested in each of his sets, his head moving in that characteristic style while channeling his unique energy to revitalize dance floors, from the Sunwaves festival in Romania at the closing of the main stage at EDC Vegas. In 2018, Jamie began his residency in Las Vegas, paving the way for an alternative sound in Vegas, becoming one of the first non-EDM acts to hold a prestigious residency at the center of the holidays. The same year Jamie expanded his vast repertoire with the show Opus1 at the prestigious Barbican Centre in London, developing an innovative classic-electronic concept with Kate Simko, performing live with a 25-piece orchestra. Constantly moving forward, daring to experiment and diversify, while remaining faithful to his sound and his core ethos, Jamie has demonstrated his natural talent and ingenuity over and over again. A passionate studio scholar since his early work, Jamie invests his diversified approach to DJing and positive energy in his productions. From the highly acclaimed album Don't You Remember The Future to the unexpected success of his omnipresent remix of 'Hungry For The Power' by Azari & III, Jamie has produced some of the greatest tracks of the last decade. In fact, that remix that redefined an era won the Defected Track of the Decade award in 2019, coming first after six rounds of voting and more than 600,000 votes. Among his recent hits is his emotional and funk-rich remix of 'Enough to Believe' by Bob Moses. His close connection with Damian Lazarus's innovative Crosstown Rebels label provided the basis of his discography, most recently showing his ability to cross different styles masterfully through his Hot Creations label and the sub-labels HOT TRAX and Emerald City. As a member of Hot Natured, Jamie has achieved mainstream success and recognition, entering the UK Top 40 with the classic 'Benediction', with two sold-out nights at Brixton Academy and main performances at Coachella and Glastonbury. So far, Jamie's label, Hot Creations, has released more than 100 releases, celebrating his milestone with 'Kooky Chords', by Jamie himself. The label has also helped launch the careers of numerous artists such as Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Detlef, who are part of the loyal and creative family that Jamie has built around himself.
