Ben Klock is one of the most in-demand Techno DJs, renowned for his long association and monthly residency at Berlin’s legendary club, Berghain, since 2005. His sets are defined by an intricate narrative and flow, skills that led him to compile fabric 66 and win the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year in 2015. His releases on Ostgut Ton—notably "Dawning" (with Marcel Dettmann) and the "Subzero" EP—are landmarks in the genre. Klock also curates his acclaimed label, Klockworks (founded 2006), synonymous with high-quality techno. In 2017, he launched PHOTON, a unique, celebrated event series that blends light, architecture, and music, touring major global venues.
Marcel Dettmann is recognized as one of the most influential proponents of contemporary Techno, strongly associated with Berlin, Berghain, and Hard Wax. Raised in the GDR, his early influences included Depeche Mode, Post-Punk, and Industrial. Dettmann constantly innovates his interpretation of electronic music, integrating art with the scene. He uses his labels, MDR (Marcel Dettmann Records) and Bad Manners (launched 2019), to shape his musical vision and launch new talent. His discography includes two albums on Ostgut Ton, numerous singles, and compilations for fabric 66, Berghain, DJ Kicks, and Selectors. Beyond the club, he is a multi-faceted artist, contributing to exhibitions and contemporary dance projects. As a DJ, he balances reduced, rough sounds with emotional moments, weaving together pure Techno, Chicago tracks, and sounds spanning the last twenty-five years.
